"Dulce" means "sweet" in Spanish, and I share recipes here that are always gluten-free, dairy-free, and always sweetened naturally. Many of my recipes are also Paleo or Low-FODMAP, and I am conscious of trying to bake with lower cholesterol and for people following anti-candida diets. I try to create recipes that are easy and quick to make but delicious and nourishing to eat.
I’m a busy mom and former teacher who loves gardening, swimming, long walks, and good books. I’ve been baking since I was a kid, but I started doing allergen-free baking about 15 years ago. During that time, I’ve tried a variety of different diets for health reasons, and in the process I have adapted my cooking and baking to meet those various restrictions.
I believe in having treats and not feeling deprived. In our home, we each have different dietary restrictions, so I try to create recipes that make everyone happy and full. I don’t follow any one diet strictly except for avoiding certain allergens like gluten, dairy, and sugar. I like recipes that can easily be adapted to satisfy a variety of different preferences.
